A Solution with Extraordinary Benefits

Protect Your Jawbone

After tooth loss, the jawbone will eventually begin to shrink and change shape. Dental implants act just like natural tooth roots, providing the stimulation necessary to prevent these changes

Improve Your Self-Esteem

In addition to making it harder to eat your favorite foods or speak clearly, missing teeth can make you feel self-conscious about smiling. Dental implant-supported restorations can complete your smile and boost your confidence

A Long-Lasting Solution

Dental implants can last a lifetime with proper care. Unlike other tooth replacement solutions, caring for implant-supported restorations is no different from caring for natural teeth.

Do I qualify for implants?

In order to experience the best possible benefits of treatment, you must meet certain candidacy requirements

Adults Only

Dental implants are generally only recommended for patients 18 and older because young patients' jaws are still developing. Because there is no age ceiling for dental implants, they are often a great option for adult patients with missing teeth.

Good Oral Health

Patients who are considering dental implants should be in good oral health. Cavities, infection, and gum disease must be treated prior to your treatment. When left untreated, conditions such as gum disease have been linked to an increased risk of implant failure

Strong Jawbone

After you lose a tooth, your jawbone tissue will begin to recede. If scans reveal that you have insufficient jawbone tissue, Dr. Lindenfeld can perform bone grafting or a sinus lift to restore your candidacy for implants

Controlled Diabetes

Because of the way diabetes affects your body's ability to heal, diabetic patients were previously considered poor candidates for dental implants. However, recent studies have shown that patients with controlled diabetes can experience successful smile rehabilitation with implants.

Tobacco-Free Lifestyle

Smoking increases your risk of dental implant failure. If you are considering dental implants, you must break the habit for good to ensure successful results

What happens during dental implant surgery?

Dental implant treatment can span several months, but the benefits can last a lifetime. Treatment begins with a consultation with Dr. Lindenfeld:

Consultation

During your dental implant consultation, Dr. Lindenfeld will evaluate your oral health, review your medical history, and ask you about your goals for treatment.

Planning

He will then use digital X-rays and cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) to assess your oral health, plan your dental implant surgery, and provide an estimated treatment timeline.

Preparation

If your assessment reveals that you have insufficient jawbone tissue, Dr. Lindenfeld can perform a bone graft or sinus lift in our office. After these procedures, it will take three to six months before you can undergo implant placement.

Surgery

Once your jaw is ready, Dr. Lindenfeld will perform dental implant surgery. Although the length of the procedure varies depending on your treatment plan, most surgeries can be completed in one to two hours

Osseointegration

Most patients need about three to six months for the implants to become completely fused with the jawbone. This process is called osseointegration.

Referral

When osseointegration is complete, Dr. Lindenfeld will refer you to a trusted dentist who can complete your treatment with abutments and a permanent restoration

Will the results look and feel natural?

Incredibly Realistic Results

Whether your implants are restored with dental crowns, bridges, or dentures, you can expect beautiful, natural-looking results.

This is due not only to the quality of your restoration, but also the stability that dental implants provide. Rather than worrying about your dentures slipping out of place when you eat or speak, you can feel confident knowing they will remain in place at all times, contributing to a natural appearance and exceptional functionality.

Aren't Dental Implants Expensive?

Asset 2

Dental implants cost more than other restorative treatments, but for many patients, their unique benefits justify the added expense. In fact, dental implants can actually save you money and time in the long run.

For example, because traditional dentures cannot halt jaw atrophy after tooth loss, they must be frequently adjusted to accommodate these changes and achieve a comfortable fit. Each adjustment will involve a fee. Implant-supported dentures, on the other hand, may never require adjustments.

How much can I expect to pay?

The cost of dental implants treatment varies, depending on several factors:

  • Your number of missing teeth
  • Your oral health
  • The type of restoration you need
  • The materials you choose

Dr. Lindenfeld and his team can provide you with a more accurate cost estimate during your consultation.

Worried about how to pay for dental implants?

Financing Options Are Available

Do not let cost stand in the way of restoring the health, appearance, and confidence you deserve. Dr. Lindenfeld and his team have many payment options available to help patients on virtually any budget afford this life-changing treatment:

Nervous about undergoing surgery?

Don't worry. The procedure is very widely performed. Dentists place over 5 million dental implants every year in the United States alone. Meanwhile, a 10-year study revealed a satisfaction rate of greater than 90 percent among patients

If you feel anxious on the day of your surgery, our office can provide fast-acting nitrous oxide sedation to help you relax. We will also administer local anesthesia to numb the treatment area during your surgery.

How can I make my implants last a lifetime?

Caring for Your Implants

In the days following your surgery, make sure you:

  • Take your prescribed medications to reduce any risk of infection
  • Drink plenty of fluids
  • Follow the recommended soft foods diet
  • Rinse your mouth with warm salt water throughout the day

To maintain your results and reduce your risk of implant failure, we also recommend that you:

  • Live a healthy lifestyle
  • Do not use any tobacco products
  • Attend bi-annual visits to your dentist
  • Brush at least twice and floss at least once per day

I received excellent care from Dr. Lindenfeld and his team. I needed an implant and the procedure was almost painless. They were professional and they made sure to follow up after my procedure. This reassured me and let me know that the dentist valued my patronage. The office staff is also courteous to the patients. I highly recommend this dental service.
